Brian G. Ross
Director of Unclaimed General Ledger Examinations
Mr. Brian Ross is a Director of Kelmar’s unclaimed general ledger examination teams. Mr. Ross holds a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Saint Michael’s College. With experience performing unclaimed property examinations since 2008, Mr. Ross applies his unclaimed property audit expertise and management experience to facilitate effective and efficient state-mandated audits of holders of unclaimed property. He serves as a central figure in Kelmar’s general ledger related examinations and is a vital resource for maintaining consistent practices across all examinations.
Mr. Ross joined Kelmar in 2008 as an Associate and held a steady progression of positions and responsibilities, including Senior Associate and Manager, before leaving the Company in 2012. Mr. Ross rejoined Kelmar in 2016, prior to becoming a Senior Manager in 2019 and then a Director of unclaimed general ledger examinations in 2022. As a Director, Mr. Ross is responsible for ensuring the completion of all assigned unclaimed general ledger examinations on behalf of the Company’s clients. In this capacity, Mr. Ross supervises exam team staff members, supports Executive Management, communicates with holders, and maintains contact with Kelmar’s clients as needed.
Other Experience
Prior to rejoining Kelmar, Mr. Ross was an Assistant Director of Product Analysis for Commercial Insurance – State Management at the sixth-largest property and casualty insurer in the United States. In this role, he facilitated an annual business plan for the department, inclusive of evaluating growth opportunities, implementing success strategies, and developing evaluation framework of targets through complex analysis of financial performance, market indications, and cross-functional internal business factors. Additionally, Mr. Ross held a progression of positions within Personal Lines Distribution, culminating in his role as Manager of Advanced Analytics for Field Insights, leading all business forecast and plan activities, including detailed modeling of both staffing and production-related metrics, efficiency identification via initiatives, and area/branch-level support.
